Viewing a historical task's details

You can view additional information about the selected historical task, such as the last time the task was modified, the commands which were run by the task, and the names of the target computers for the task. You can also see details of the task's status on individual computers.

To view a historical task's details

  1. From the left-hand pane, expand Picture of the Tasks icon Tasks and choose Picture of the History icon History.

  2. From the right-hand pane, right-click the task and from the menu, choose Properties.

  3. Details of the task are displayed. Choose the Target Results tab.

  4. Details of the individual computer updates are displayed. Select a target computer name from the list and click the Details button.

  5. The Target Details show the task's description, details, and status for the selected computer. If any part of the task produced an error, the error details appear in the Commands field.

  6. To view the historical task details for the next computer in the target list, click the Next button. To view the historical task details for the previous computer in the target list, click the Previous button.

  7. Click the Close button.

  8. Click OK.

Notes

  • To view a selected historical task's details, you can also choose Picture of the Properties icon in the toolbar.

  • To view more details about an error, either double-click the error message in the Target Details window, or select a line in the Commands field and click the Details button.
